The March Warden Coat Of Arms
Blazon
Vert, in Pale Or two Falcons Trussed, A Sword Blade Argent with pommel Or point upward in the first, an Arrow point upwards in the third.
Pale
The pale is a vertical band down the shield denoting great defensive
military strength and fortitude. It has often
been bestowed on those who have defended cities, supported the
government of their sovereign, or stood strong for their country under
stress. The guidelines of heraldry instruct that the pale is to occupy
one third of the width of the shield, though this is not always
strictly followed. Vert (green)
Green, or in heraldic terms, "vert," signifies felicity and
pleasure. It was symbolic of joy, youth and beauty. Green was also
associated with the spring. The bearer of the green is obliged to
defend the peasant and all who work on the land.
Or (gold)
Gold, or in heraldic terms, "Or", symbolizes the virtues of faith, obedience, generosity and gentility. Falcon or Hawk
The falcon or hawk indicates the bearer is known for perception, foresight, and a keen eye for trouble. The presence of two falcons or hawks indicates an exceptional level of insight and awareness.
Sword
Indicates the bearer is pledged to the generous pursuit of honour and virtue in warlike deeds. A point raised depiction implies a readiness to engage the enemy and to meet the challenge of combat without hesitation.
Arrow
The arrow symbolizes a state of maritial readiness, preparedness and vigilance.
